How do i get rid of my d.u.i.? (california)

i got a d.u.i. 12 years in california ago i never took the d.u.i. class but i'm thinking that no matter if i took the program or not it's been over 10 years since the violation date. dmv should have taken that off my record 2 years ago. if someone knows the laws can you please explain?

You may want to resubmit this question to another category!  I don't know that d.u.i. dismissals are dealt with by home and garden people!  Perhaps you can contact a lawyer in California for advise.

You can find the DUI laws, penalties and subsequent expunctions on-line under your city, county or town.

If you don’t plan on breaking the law again, you shouldn’t be so concerned about having it removed from your record.

Not taking the DUI classes may be seen by the judicial system in your jurisdiction as a clear and blatant disregard for the law and subsequent damage you could have caused yourself and/or others. It may be seen as a disregard for human life and having snubbed the DUI classes may have invalidated any possibility of future expunction.

But you should have found that out before you decided not to take the classes.
