How do i get rid of my dolphan in endless ocean?

i have all three dolphans in my endless ocean game, but i want another kind of partner, how do i erased my dolphan partner?

you get more of them and kat will tell you you cant have 4.  the otherone goes away if you want the dolphin or it goes away if you dont want it.  if you wanted it, the next dive and resurface, the old one comes back.

Just go ahead and get another partner, Kat will let you overwrite one of your other dolphins to put one in its place.
