  1. Stand at a wall, and have people throw baseballs at your stomach, legs and torso area non stop (softly).

  2. stay away from baseball bats

  3. just stand there and take one for the team

it only hurts a little for a second

and if u do get hit, no matter what, DONT rub it

im used to it, i get hit like 5-6 times a season on average, turn ur back and take ur base

trust me, in the end, it will b all good

  4. i really simpathize with you because i was the same way up until the beggining of this season, and im 6 foot. Truely all that it takes is the mindset when you come up to bat that you REALLY want to get on base.  Through to course of the season i had my coach work with me on some drills where i would take BP and every once and a while he would throw at me, if i got out of the way i would take a lap if i took it then he would stop for the day.  And then in the middle of the season i was in a slump and i took a pitch and later realized that i had leaned into it, i knew it would not hurt to bad and i would be on base which is much more important than a little bit of pain.  In the end now i tell my brothers that truely it just does not matter if you get hit if you turn the right way then it barley hurts an you are on base.

  5. When I was a kid I had that fear too.  Once I turned about 13 or 14 it went away since I'd been drilled a few times by then and had learned how to take the pitch (turn your back to the ball).  Start worrying more about seeing the ball out of the pitcher's hand all the way to your bat and that concentration should override your fear.

  6. Have someone throw the ball at you.  Let it hit you.  It will only hurt for a couple seconds...  Experience the pain first, then get in there and you will know what will happen if it does hit you.  Now, if it hurts too much for you, maybe baseball isn't the sport, try, Chess.  It's a good challenging game for the mind...

To go with what Kevin is saying...  You get hit.  You get to first base...  Score a run...  Steal a base.  It can only help the team

  7. once u get hit the first time, it really isnt as bad as it seems. it only stings a little but then i goes right away. just step in there and take ur swings. also think that the more u r fearful of getting hit, the worse you hit. so just trust me the hype over getting hit by a pitch is much worse than reality. also, if you get hit, u may get a nice bruise which y can show off to ur friends and classmates
