  1. It's genetics, it doesn't go away.

It's worse for girls because you have to wear makeup.

But anyway, you just have to experiment with washing and what products to use and what products not to use.

  2. Some people have naturally oily skin.  If you wash regularly with a product made for oily skin and it remains oily, then you're SOL.

  3. neutrogena oil free face wash =] amazing and it doesnt make your face shiny =]

  4. I have the same problem. Over the years, I've  found that Clean & Clear Deep Cleaning Astringent works quite well at getting rid of oil. I used to use it all the time after washing my face and before putting on my makeup.

These days I haven't been using it as much, instead I've been using a facial mask. I've found that the Queen Helene line of masks work quite well at getting rid of oil for a while (for me, my skin doesn't feel as oily for a day or two). The Mint Julep mask isn't as harsh and it has a nice smell to it, while the English Clay one is a little stronger and it seems to absorb more oil from the face.

If you don't have sensitive skin you could also try the Mudd Original mask, it really gets rid of oil, but if you have sensitive skin, it can feel really harsh--you can still use it if you have sensitive skin, but just don't leave it on for too long. This mask actually does a great job of getting rid of the oil.

I've also tried a homemade facial of a whipped egg white and a dash of lemon juice. If you leave it on your face for 20 minutes and then rinse it off with cool water, it seems to remove some of the oil as well.

Well, I hope that this info is of some help. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way to get rid of the oil for a prolonged period of time. But on the bright side of things, it's been said that people with oily skin are more likely to have less wrinkles than people who have dry skin or normal skin and that when they do get wrinkles they will get them later in life than the people with the other skin types.

BTW: the person who recommended the blotting paper is absolutely right, those work like a charm--they're great, especially during the day if you can't wash your face or if you're wearing makeup you just use one of those little papers and the oil is gone. Clean & Clear makes a product like that and I'm sure other skin care companies do as well.

  5. look for astringent in the beauty isle  where they sell stuff for washing the face.dampen a cotton ball and wipe all over your face once a day for a week or so and see what happens. my girls use this all the time.

  6. there are these little pieces of paper that get oil out. they are called blot films and you just rub them on your skin and they all go into the paper! its so cool, its a great material! you can get them at cvs, walgreens, or rite aid! also you can just use a face wash for the night so it will stop coming but those blot films work in a second! they just don't prevent it from happening, they just take it away. hope i helped! :]

  7. i use clinique 3 step skin care (make sure its for oil skin)

Also, drink lots of water :D

Use it in the morning and Night

  8. Olay toner

  9. ive had the same problem for years! i had some laser treatments done on my face for acne/ oil and it got significantly better, but was very expensive. also ive noticed that using a richer moisturizer helps too. i use olay regenerist deep hydration regenerating cream. one more thing, ive heard from numerous dermatologists that its not good to use a scrub on your face, since i stopped using scrubs my acne/oil has improved even more. hope that it works for you too! good luck!

  10. use Nuetrogena scrub
