How do i get rid of price tag stickers from a wood surface without damaging the wood?

we bought a wooden coffee table and up to this point, I can't take off the price tag sticker. Help!

try old english furniture oil. soak rhe tag and let sit until oil loosens the glue. wipe up excess glue

Cooking oil will often help, wood grain oil, or you can get a product called Goo Gone.

Umm. Im Not Sure IF Its Damaging But, Getting A Lightly Damp Wash Cloth or Papertowl And Getting The Sticcker wet till the glue on the underside is melted (sorta ) Then Just Move Your Thumb Over It Vigirously With Pressure Till It Wears Off.

Goo-Gone is the best answer so far. If you want to try something a little less solvent-like, try lemon oil or a citrus based cleaner.

Try a little wd-40--not too much though, it should soften it.

I'll usually start by using a hair dryer on the tag.  A little heat and they'll peel right off.  Any residue left behind can be taken care of with a little goo gone or a bit of vegetable oil.

spray a little WD40 . (purchased at any hardware store)..wait a few minutes and remove with a soft cloth.  You may have to repeat process but it DOES work!!    Explain your problem to the place of purchase so it doesn't happen to someone else.

Try using  a little bit of mayonaisse, it took the stickers off of my window.

use a product with oil, like orange oil, or wood oil.  oil will remove sticky stuff.  you can also use Goo Gone.  soak it for a few minutes, then rub at it with a dry wash cloth.  repeat as necessary.

Try using a hair dryer. Blow on the sticker for a few minutes, then slowly peel it off. This technique works for other surfaces too.
