Have a newer yard (put in this spring). Have been fertilizing regularly and most of the yard looks great. Last 2 months have been very rainy and a "rust" has developed on parts of the lawn. I recently treated with a fungicide.

  1. there used to be a product called consan 20,but now it is replaced by liquid copper fungicide.

  3. Fungicides work best at preventing diseases rather than correcting them.  However if the fungicides you use don't do the job you can use a miraclegrow applicator bottle filled with an antibacterial soap and hoak it up to the hose and spray it on infected areas.

If the lawn is not severely infected the rust will go away with a little fertilizer once the rainy season is over.

  4. An old, affordable, farmer`s remedy for this is to use regular household bleach. Spray with a solution of about 1/2 cup bleach to a gallon of water. It used to be the "poor man`s" fungicide. I live in a rural community, and the farmers around here even spray some crops with it.
