How do i get rid of scalp infection (with puss)?

puss from the scalp (suspected to be fungal) with puss and its a bit painful

  1. This may well be seborrheic  dermatis with secondary bacterial infection. It does require a visit to your GP. You may require oral antibiotics, a topical application, possibly a steroid lotion and long term use of an anti-fungal shampoo such as Nizoral.

  3. Tinea capitis is a dermatophyte infection of the scalp (scalp ringworm).

    Treatment:

    Anti-fungal medications, taken by mouth, are used to treat the infection.

    Keep the area clean. A medicated shampoo, such as one containing selenium sulfide, may reduce the spread of infection. Other family members and pets should be examined and treated, if necessary.
