How do i get rid of <span title="windows.privacy.protection">windows.privacy.protectio...</span> desktop hijacker?

Question

while checking out a prefile of someone who wanted me to add them as a myspace friend i got a desktop hijacker. a blue with a warning that my computer had dangerous spyware problems. if you click on it it sends you to windows.privacy.protection.com to sell you their spyware software. i've tried scanning my comp with ad-aware and windows malicious software protection but nothing is dected.any answers
