How do i get rid of the news pane in when i sign in?

So , this is new and I never asked for it. When I log in to my account, I now have a window that has the news in it and optional tabs for entertainment and such. I can't find how to delete it. Tried clicking on Options in upper right hand corner as suggested to get back old Yahoo, but nothing shows up in the upper corner saying "mail options" as it should, so I can't switch back or do anything. Much appreciated...

There is no way to get rid of the news pane. It will get worse later this year. Yahoo is planning that the mail system will be the center of the new profile system.
