How do i get rid of the smell of a dead rodent (chipmunk)?

It was trapped in the intake air pipe at the base of my high effeciency furnace.

We used moth balls, now they have some that smell like those odor dissipating bricks in public bathrooms, rather than regular moth balls. They are like ammonia! ick but thats what we put in our crawl space after something died in there.
