  1. Mix vinegar and water in a spray bottle and spray over affected area.

Let dry sprinkle arm and hammer let sit for at least ten minutes then vacuum. Hope this helps. It worked for me!

  2. If you decide to do it yourself make sure you use hot, very  hot water,

that's what the professional carpet cleaning guys do. I went to this site when I had to get rid of cat urine; www.carpetcleaningstains.com

  3. rent a carpet cleaner

  4. Sprinkle baking soda all over it-let it sit a couple of days and then vacume. If you need to you could put some vinegar and water in a spray bottle and lightly spray the carpet.

  5. either get a carpet cleaner, one of the steam ones, or a company that does carpets. You save about half the cost of cleaning by renting the steam cleaners.

You can mist all of it with either Odo Ban or Febreeze. But the foam thingy will attract all the dust in the world til you clean it out of your carpet.

I like the baking soda and salt sprinkled on the carpets and left for a day after having wet dogs in the house. It kills any critters they brought in, the odor of wet dog, and vacuums up really well.

I use those plug in fragrance things in each of the rooms. Yah, yah! I know there is a warning about them, but if the house burned down they didn't cause it, Of Course!, there is only the 2 prongs left if they melted in a fire, but that isn't what most likely caused it. Nor do the little nite lites cause fires.
