How do i get rid of this...?

Okay, so i have a HUGEASS bee hive attacked to a tree in my front yard. im guess it can house hundreds of bees (i dont really know), it is about the size of a watermelon. obviously i want to get rid of it...any suggestions on how? or should i just call on the pros?

If it's attached to a tree, it's probably a nest of wasps or hornets.  I'd suggest calling a pro.  Wasps and hornets aren't polite to people trying to get rid of their homes.

put up a fake bee hive and put up bee traps made out of 2 Litre pop bottles with a bit of pop left on the bottom.

I agree with Mom. Something that large won't allow you to kill all of them easily and the number of potential stings you could receive could actually be fatal.

a hefty bag should do the trick

Call a beekeeper. They take the queen and the rest of the bees go away. Then you can remove the hive safely.
