  1. I spray them with white vinegar or pour baby powder on them. If it's really bad I'll powder the whole floor. I have a terrible ant phobia, and never have to buy poison. It's way cheaper too.

  2. Corn Starch on a plate. Ants can't digest it but they love it.

  3. Wash affected area with Pine Oil (Pine Sol) or Ammonia.

  4. I have tried several methods to kill ants, the deterrent method using cinnamon leaves, chilli powder, garlic powder, hot boiling water, but the best method i liked was to use the multipurpose cleaner with orange oil. I like it because it kills the ants instantly and does not allow the ants to start another ant hills. The orange smell also freshens your room while you are using the liquid cleaner. Take special care to try it on a surface like wood surface or counter top first to see if the liquid will cause any damage to the surface, before using it on the ants.

  5. I put baby powder in the cracks where the wall meets the floor, just spread it good in there. Look and see where they are coming from and douse it with baby powder. They lose their sense of direction from baby powder. If they're on your floors, I spray them with a mixture of dish soap and water and that gets them. Also try vinegar and water.

  6. I just sprinkled cinnamon on my counter tops.  That does work for some ants!  Also, take a piece of chalk, if you know where they're coming in, & draw a chalk line.  They w/not cross a chalk line!!!  And, of course you have your insect spray for ants & small critters.  Just be careful not to use around where you're going to have any food..(naturally)  Good luck, I think a lot of us are "blessed" w/them rite now...:)
