I live in an apartment complex and i don't know where the nest is. There aren't any trash cans or bird feeders of any kind outside my door but i have probably close to a hundred of them. Is there anything i can do? and is this something that an apartment complex is supposed to take care of?

  1. WASP/HORNET spray by Raid. Shoots like a hose, up to 20 ft., at night when they are nested.

    Should not be your responsibility!

  2. The nest will need to be destroyed.  I would contact your building manager to have it done by someone with experience so you don't risk getting stung.  For any lingering yellow jackets, I would recommend trying this:

"take a 2 liter bottle and put about 2 inches of soda in it. The yellow jackets go in and can't get out."

  3. You, or the apt manager, needs to find the nest they are coming from.

Once the nest are found, flood them with wasp spray and knowck them down. Do it either early in the morning and near dusk when things cool down and the waps are more calm.
