How do i get rig of AVG Anti-Virus 8?

While installation the application failed or something because it didn't work. So now i bought Kaspersky Anti-Virus Pro and it says AVG 8 is an incompatible application and i need to remove it from my computer so i go to control panel then i go to add/remove programs and its not on the list need help thanks

you will have to run avg8 setup again in order to complete the installation then it will copy the uninstaller too and will be showing in the add remove programs. if setup fails again try download a fresh copy of setup bcoz may be the setup file is infected by a virus in your pc.when installed completely then uninstall it.

OK. SO I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. GO TO THE MICROSOFT DOWNLOAD SITE AND DOWNLOAD " WINDOWS INSTALL CLEAN UP". SOMETIMES A PROGRAM WILL PARTIALLY INSTALL AND NOT SHOW UP UNDER "ADD- REMOVE PROGRAMS" ON WINDOWS. AFTER YOU DOWNLOAD YOU'LL PROBABLY SEE IT IN THE NEW PROGRAM LIST AND YOU CAN DELETE IT EASILY.  GOT THAT.

delete AVG from your hard drive

Delete it manually from where it was saved.

it looks avg is not fully uninstall from your pc , first click on start >run > type regedit then HKEY_CURRENT_USER then browse for grisoft  then delete it then again click on start >my computer> then disk  c > program file then> search for grisoft delete it then download free ccleaner do the scan then remove junk and left registry this will solve the problem good luck
