How do i get ringtones to my phone through a usb cord. (motorola)?

I'm not sure if i need more hardware or if i need a different cable or something but i keep getting the message "This installation package is not supported by this processor type."

I have a motorola v3i and I got a message like that too before but when I use the usb cable it works just fine for me I can see it as a drive on my comp, but it can be also because that I use a memory card, since I put everything into my memory card then transfer them to cellphone memory from there.

    If you can also see it as a drive on your comp when you use usb when you click on it you will see folders like pictures ringtones etc. well putting the ringtone you like to use into the ringtone folder will do it for you, then after that you will have to transfer it to cellphone memory, once it is in cellphone memory you can set it as cellphone ringtone.
