  1. Proactive never worked for me, I had to get laser treatment from the dermatologist, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion. Both my brothers went on Accutane, but I was not allowed to take Accutane.

Lemongrass is excellent for getting rid of oils and dirt. So try a cleanser or scrub with lemongrass in it. If you can't find it, you can make a mask at home that will help: 1 egg white (throw out the yolk) and pour in some lemon extract. Stir it around and put on your face. It will harden and dry in a few minutes, then wash it off with a washcloth.

  2. Tea Tree Oil, Milk, or Apple Cider Vinegar used as toners

Or if you have good insurance you can go to your dermatologist and get Accutane....

  3. That will be hard. The key is to keep skin clean and moisturized. I don't know how to help you if you don't want to buy product cause you need at lease a moisturizer. Your skin will get dried. But if you ever want to buy anything, i recomend neutrogena's oil-free acne wash with microclear technologies and then a yellow cliniques dramatically different moisturizing lotion.

  4. i know you said you dont want to buy anything but if it gets to the point that you want to try proactive but you NEED to use it exactly how they say to

  5. Wash your face. A lot. And maybe go see your doctor.

  6. Hi:

I am a Registered Nurse and I specialize in skin care and acne.

IT IS ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU TO TREAT YOUR PIMPLES WITHOUT THE INTERVENTION OF PRODUCTS. It's not realistic!!!!

I have some suggestions for you if you're serious about treating your acne and you want to do it intelligently.

You need to get professional advice. I will explain why it's a broad question!

Your age plays a role! How old are you? Do you always have breakouts or just before your menstrual cycle?

If you're a male than your testostorone levels may have an affect on your oil glands which stimulate the skin to produce excess oil filled pockets which is why you get pimples.

If you are a teenager ( which I assume that you are) your hormones play a definite role in your breakouts.

If you have severe breakouts than you might need medication. There are many factors.

The most important thing is that you need products that are AGE APPROPRIATE!  Every age group has different products appropriate for them. If you are young than you need milder products as to not dry out your beautiful young skin.

The problem with commercial skin products is that they are manufactured for MASSES OF PEOPLE and are not specifically made for different peoples' needs.

Your skin type is different than mine and your age differs from mine so how is it logical that we both use the same skin product for breakouts. We need different strengths of cleansers and toners. Do you kind of understand what I am getting at?

Here is my STRONG SUGGESTION for you.  I refer all my students and patients to this website: www.aboutyourskincare.com

You need to consult with professionals and on this website YOU CAN ASK QUESTIONS FOR FREE AND A SKIN EXPERT/PHYSICIAN WILL ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS. It would be a shame if you dont take advantage of this free service.

Lastly, they have incredible products for breakouts and they make them specifically for every kind of skin type. That means that if your breakouts are more severe than mine, than while we both will buy the same product yours will have stronger ingredients than mine will.

They have a mild glycolic acid cleanser that's great for your type of skin and also a DRYING LOTION ( I have 3 bottles) that you put directly on your breakouts and the next day it's gone. It's truely magic in a bottle.

A basic guideline for properly taking care of your skin is this ( now if you're a young girl you will need fewer products than this):

    Night time:

    1. Exfoliate the skin

    2. Mild Glycolic Acid Cleanser

    3. Mild Glycolic Acid Toner ( cleans off the excess debris and balances the PH level of the skin).

    4. Drying Lotion used only on breakouts

    5. Moisturizer

    Morning:

    1. Mild Glycolic Acid Cleanser

    2. Moisturizing cream

The above is a standard you may need to only use one or two products. Viisit the website I suggested and click on the ASK FOR FREE section send them an email and you will get free expert skin care advice.

    Good Luck to you,

    Michelle

  7. Drink lots of water.  Eat healthy.  Don't eat too much spicy, acidic, or fried foods.  Stop stressing so much.  Wash your face on a daily basis, morning and night.  Don't use bath towels over and over again.  I tend to use a new bath towel every other day.  Keep your hands away from your face.  If you have long hair, tie it back and keep them from covering or touching your face.  Again, drink lots of water.

  8. I would definitely suggest you try SWISS glutathione bar. Its actually a soap intended for skin lightening but it really works well against pimples! it dries them out easily in just 2-3days! a lot of people buy it for that purpose even if they dont have to lighten their skin. check out

  9. As weird as this may sound, use lemons. I used to break out really bad bc of stress, and my dad told me when he had bad acne, he used lemons. You cut the tip off, cut a slice about half and inch long, get the seeds out and rub it on your face, but be careful to not get it into your eyes. Do this before bed each night, and when you wake up, wash it off, and then use a moisturizer so your face won't dry out!

  10. Believe me, using Zenmed's derma cleanse acne gel will not at all be a waste of money for you as it will surely help you to get rid of those pimples you have quickly.

This acne gel is the best herbal treatment for getting rid of pimples and zits that I have used so far. Not only would it help to dry out the pimples but doesn't also cause scars to appear or your skin to look dry. It is purely herbal and would suit any type of skin without causing any skin reaction.

Apart from getting rid of pimples quickly, the gel also helps to unclog pores and reduce the redness and swelling that pimples appear with at times. It's really a good product for a quick solution to remove pimples and maintain a clear complexion.

  11. use simple dial antibacterial soap.

my boyfriend told me that instead of using cream cleanser to use dial for my zits.

and it works way better and costs less.

it dries the oily skin and makes it smoother.

  12. Well take showers often, try to stay away from sugary foods, and if you ever decide to, buy a daily acne cream.  Also, keep track of when you get the most zits and maybe write down what you did, ate, drank, and thought about lately.  Zits can also come from lack of sleep and stress.  They usually decrease in occurrence as you age.  Basically, be healthy (which usually brings happiness and pride and self confidence) to look great!
