How do i get sky plus box for free or cheap if you are already a sky user?

I am really annoyed that sky offer a sky plus box too new customers when we will have to pay alot of money when we have been with them for ages. I'm not willing to pay for one so whats the best way to get one?

check in a buy and sell paper, alot of people sell them for cheap,  or check on the internet.

My mum has sky and she has to pay if she wanted one but instead she just looked in ads for free and ads in shop windows,  but when i got sky i got a free one.  That was unfair as my mum has been with them a few years.

Ring sky and tell them how you feel, this may sound sneaky but threaten to leave and mabey they will give you one for £50, no mater what company you do this to they will always try to keep you on as a customer so they offer alot of stuff just for you to stay.

Tell Sky you're canceling your subscription and see their reaction. I suspect you might get an offer of one if you stay with them.
