How do i get sponsored by active in skateboarding?

everyone says you have to know how to do a list of tricks, but i want to know the precise information.

The way for you to get recongnized is through exposure or knowing someone big (connections are always helpful: through giving you small video parts or helping you get introduced to companies), be it meeting some shop owners, skating with their riders, placing well in competitions, and online edits. You also need to be able to skate a variety of obstacles, not just flatland.

If you want to get sponsored i would advise you get out the ole' video camera and get your friends to catch you in action. I have a freind who is sponsored for snowboarding by Etnies,Powerade, and Academy SB's. Good Luck.

OK try to shoot a video of your best skating at the hardest and biggest spots ,the video should be about 3 min long. so If you think you got the skills and your good enough send it to them in a tape , DVD , or email and if the like you they will sponsored you.

Another option is you tube but I wouldn't do that.
