  1. Google Motocross State races in your area. Most states have races that are every other week or so, usually in the Spring/Summer. They have all different classes and stuff. It would help you get to know the ropes and also, maybe, get sponsored. If you're good enough to win the races you can get sponsored and get paid for racing. I would think that's the best way for you to get started. Good Luck and BE SAFE! ALSO...look up tracks that are in your area and call and see when practice times are and go check out all the tracks.

  2. Look through the discovery button - You'll see this

    question asked 100 times a week !!

  3. Girl Racer is sounding like wiggysan first you need a bike and at your age you would be in the 85 class so an 85cc bike would be perfect so go to craigslist and pick your town or whichevers the closest and look for 85cc dirt bikes for sale  2nd you'll need gear so try websites like motoworldraicng.com offroadcloseouts.com and motosport.com 3rd you need to practice and talk to other racers so use the internet and search for motocross tracks around your area or go to dirtwerx.com and look for tracks around your town 4th get into some local races at your local tracks and first race in the begginer class until you have that down then move up to novice then to expert and if you start winning some expert races take it to the next level and do some nationals

  4. I am 12 too and I want to get started as well. Get a dirt bike to start and find local races and enter one.

    PRACTICE! Good Luck!!!

  5. If you don't already belong to a club or a track the first thing to do is find a local club or track and join up or find out what you need to do to start riding there.   Look up local tracks in your area www.dirtwerkz.com or www.wheretomx.com

Go along to a race day and watch the racing to see if it is what you really want to do. If yes then speak to the race secretary about how to get a race licence and race number allocated or what other things you need to do to be able to race as things differ from country to country. Also make sure you read up on race rules and flag rules so you know what to do when on the track.

While there have a look at some of the bikes in the sections you could ride for your age.

You good bike for you to start on would be a crf150r. Ask a few of the locals what they think.

Make sure you get all the safety gear, Pants, Jersey, Helmet, Goggles, Shin guards, Elbow guards, Boots, Chest Armour, Gloves, kidney belt and if you can afford it a leatt brace.  These are the basics.

Before you race attend as many practice days as you can so you get used to being on the track with bikes.

    Enjoy!
