How do i get sticky foam letters off?

i have these little sticky foam letters stuck on the back of my headboard and i need to get them off as sooon as possible so how could i do that what hould i use??? ive tried pullin them off but theyre stuck on there well at least pieces of it are.

Furniture polish and scratching it off with your nail will work.

Use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.  It'll take the sticky off - don't know how, but it works.

Goo-Gone might work. You can find it at walmart. it works great for gum, that goo stuff that ends up being there after you try to pull off a sticker, and a lot more. I would say try it, it can't hurt.

the glue is most likely oil based so you need to soften it up first, get some vegetable oil and soak the letters in it . this should soften them up enough to remove them. it may take more than 1 application.
