How do i get stronger to do pushups

i am not that strong and i need to e since i an trying out for football and i will need to do pushups so plz help me get stronger i just need drills or tips or anything

  1. Practice makes perfect:)

    Work on your arm and ab strength by lifting weights and doing crunches.


  2. well u can try weights hand weights and there are leg weights 2 now ^_^

    i don't do push-ups but i know weights help i used my friends leg weights once and i wore them for about an hour i think and i felt lighter when i took em off and my feet felt stronger cause i kept walking round his room

  3. k well push ups work out your triceps and ur pecs(chest)... pullups work with the same muscels.. if u can do pullups.. it will help you become able to do push ups.. and you also need other excersizes too b/c footballs a tough sport

  4. You need to start actually doing push ups.  If you can only do one then do one and then rest and do another one.  Try to lift some weights too.  In no time you'll be able to do push ups

  5. im 13 and i can do 40 just lift some weights and you will find it easier in about 6 weeks  

  6. Do pushups at home! haha just practice at home! and you can do more at school! I would also get a job that requires heavy lifting by hand to get more muscle and strength.  

  7. start out small, try do 20 if you can, then increase that number by 10 more each week it takes time, but I went from 10 to 100 , it worked for me make sure you eat a lot of protein to.
