How do i get the WEP key? or make a new one?

cant hook up my laptop to the wireless network,forgot the wep key.so it cant receive a signal from the router.

The wep key should be on the router.

There should be a reset button on your router. Hold this in for 30 secs. while it is switched on and it will go back to the factory settings, then you can reset all your settings to whatever you want. (Don't forget to make a note of your settings for future reference)

Login to the router and change the key.  Or reset the router back to factory defaults (use a paper clip in the reset hold, hold 10 secs) and then reprogram your router.

WEP key is set on your router. Check your router webpges by nter default gateway into your address bar, usually is '192.168.1.1' then enter your user name and password. then search the security and see if your wep key matched or not
