  1. I have been hatching bbs daily for years.  Turn off aeration, and shine a bright light at the bottom of the container.  After about 10 minutes, take a turkey baster & suck the bbs from the bottom.  Squirt them into a coffee filter that is rubber banded to the top of an old cup.  Rinse with water, and feed, this will drain & remove brine solution without loosing any shrimp.

Brine shrimp nets are designed for adult brine shrimp. you will loose a ton of bbs trying to use one of these.

  2. They are attracted to light.

Use a brineshrimp net (very fine meshed) and a flashlight, and things should go alot easier. A little bit of saltwater won't hurt the fry.

  3. I use basically the same method as Tolak, except I skip the use of the flashlight. After turning aeration off, I let the hatchery sit for 5-10 minutes, then when I return, they're all crammed into the bottom.

  4. they have these special white nylon nets. I think you can scoop the shrimp with that net.
