How do i get the burnt smell out of my pot?

how do i get this burnt smell out of my pot...i made soup and somebody went to reheat it and severely burnt my food and my pot.....can somebody pleeeease help me...i do not want to have to throw away a new pot

  1. Is the smell the only problem? If yes, try boiling 1/2 a cup of vinegar in one pot of water. Not only will it remove the smell from the pot, it will also remove any unwanted smell in your kitchen. The room may smell like vinegar for a few minutes but it will eventually fade leaving you with a smell-free kitchen.


  2. Oh...that kind of pot!!!

  3. Bring the potful of plain water to a simmer, then add a generous shake of baking soda.  Let it simmer a while, then turn the heat off and let the pan cool off naturally - with the water still in it.  

  4. boil some water in it and drop some lemons in the water..will kill the smell!!!

  5. bleach that shiiit and put lemons in it, and add water, but without the bleach....
