  1. Just go into the store and pick them up I had the same problem  my mom told me nobody would care and she was right it was just an everyday thing for the cashier .

  2. Trust me no one will bat an eyelid. I use to work in a shop last summer and i didn't care in the slightest. But if you feel uncomfortable just go to a female cashier as i know you'd probably feel more comfortable than going up to a male cashier. Or you could always ask your mom to pick some up before or after work. :)

  3. Get a basket at the store so it isn't so noticeable...Pick a female cashier ( guys dont care anyways...trust me I have tons of brothers/friends and I am married hehe ) It gets easier each time...I was so nervous when I had to start buying my own but after the first time it's easier everytime

  4. well when you're older the chances are you're gonna be buying them for yourself- not your mom so just maybe go to a place where you dont see friends and then go to a female checkout lady. no one would think you were weird or gross...they'd proabably think you were more mature if anything. so its not that hard. good luck. :]

  5. if it helps go to a woman at the check out .

  6. Just think: every woman who is in the same situation as you has to make the choice to buy pads - it's perfectly normal and all a sign that you are taking charge and control of your body! It might help to buy your pads and go to a female cashier if possible, believe me - these products sell in their thousands every day and being a retail worker myself, I never give a second thought as to what my customers buy!

  7. It's not a big deal.. It is quite embarrassing at first (i went through the same feelings), but then it becomes something you have to do any way.

Would you rather go through it without pads?

Just pick it up, put it in the trolley, go to a female cashier and pay it. Every woman who goes through one has to do it at some point.

  8. Lol i had it worse. I needed to buy tampons b/c I was going swimming and every person at the counter was a guy. To make my self inconspicuous, I bought some candy or soemthing and a magazine.....they dont pay attention, trust me.....

    God Bless.

  9. well if you have any large brand super markets (for example, in  my area,  we have stop n shop, and big Y) they probly have a self check out area, where you check out yourself, and no one knows what you buy...if there arnt any, than you should just go to a female cahiere.

  10. You just do it, it is a normal part of life, no one cares and if they laugh at you they are inmature and childish.

I can send my BF to get them and even he isn't imbarrased. It is part of growth.

  11. just use your moms used ones

  12. the first step...think about how natural it is for women

the second step....learn to be proud about being a women, before u were a girl now u are a woman

the third step...go buy them! after you learn to be proud u should have no prob buying them with any cashier

    good luck! : )

  13. Go to a cashier who is a woman. In fact, an older woman who looks like a grandmother. Then you have nothing to be embarrassed about. Just walk in the store, grab the pads, and walk right up to the cashier without thinking anything of it. Ask her to put them in a paper bag instead of plastic so no one has to see.

If you go to a drugstore like CVS, there will be a lot less people and you can walk down aisles that are empty, and you can pay for them at the pharmacy, too, which is usually in the back of the store. Then you don't have to walk around with them.

It will be fine...trust me, not ONE person will look at you funny, or even look at what you are buying.

If you are really, really worried and embarrassed, go to the drugstore and wait around for a mom with kids to check out, and then check out behind them. A mom with kids would never think you are weird, and if you are behind her no one will notice you.

  14. Just buy them with a few other things so you can sort of hide them until you get to the check out counter. And find a female cashier.  People don't even really care, because it's a normal thing. I feel your pain though. :)   Just yesterday, my mom, sister, and I were at the grocery store and had to buy some, but my mom stuck them in the cart so they were the first thing you would see if you looked at our cart from the front. That was a little embarrassing, so just don't do that. :)

    Good luck!

  15. I HAD THIS PROBLEM! i bought some tampons and actually told the woman bahind the counter they were for my mum haha, i feel an idiot now thought, even though it was 2 year ago haha, but it is actually ok because it's natural for girls. don't worry! it's not embarrasing because we all go through it. just act normal even if you are embarrased. good luck!

  16. All women get periods, go to a drug store. There tend to be more women in there buying make up and stuff, its their type of place. Just tuck the pads under your arm and go to a lady on the check out. That's all you have to do.

My sister was in the same position when we weren't there to get them for her. And the first time she needed them, she went in and found a nice looking lady who looked like a grandmother, explained her problem to her, gave her the money and the lady paid for them for her, she even helped my sister find the right type for her. The second time she went to the checkout and said she cant find the pads and the lady at the checkout went and got her them. The third time she just did it herself :) Don't be scared, its a natural thing. Every woman has to do it.

  17. Honestly..nobody is going to care.  Go to a female cashier.

  18. If the clerk were to laugh, that'd be really rude of him. You could actually talk to the manager about it. I agree with someone else and say go to a woman checkout. And so you don't feel so awkward about buying just the pads, but some magazines or candy or something so they don't notice the pads.

  19. i make a joke of it.  i put them on top of everything else i get, and give the cashier a big smile.

it makes me feel better, and it probably made someone' else's day as well

its not like you're buying condoms or suppositories or something

  20. its not that bad really.

my friend was so scared to buy a pregnancy test, and I told her I would buy it for her. So i went to the cutest youngest guy and said, could you please ring this up and throw it in a bag before anyone see's and things something? and you know what? The guy said, "don't worry, girls come through here buying all kinds of crazy stuff, the last one, actually just left with 8 boxes of condoms." and he gave me that eye brow like, 'woooww'.

It totally made me feel better.

and i didn't even think twice about it anymore.

    because he was right.

    moral?

it's 100% okay to buy that type of stuff.

you'll be fine, act like you have done it 340234983 times before that, and nothing in this world scares you.

    :]

    hope i helped.

  21. It truly is not a big deal at all. Millions of women (and men too, for their partners) buy pads/tampons every day. You won't be the first the cashier has seen.

To make it easier, you can make your purchase at a time when you have other things to purchase as well, so it's not just you going up there with a package of pads and that is it. Pick a female cashier who looks the least intimidating. And finally, just do it and you will see that it gets easier.

  22. Heya

Why dont you just ask your mum to pick you some up from the way home from work or when she goes food shopping ? if not then trust me , no one will be laughing at you , all girls have periods  , even men know this. Go to a women check out. =] x*x

  23. I had this problem when I was young. Best idea is to ask another female adult in the family or if no one can do it for you, go to the chemist and find them yourself.

Every adult male knows women have periods, and i'll let you in on a secret- they don't mind a tiny bit.

My husband goes shopping and if tampons or towels are on the list he buys them without even thinking about it.

No one thinks badly of you because your becoming a woman- in fact its a wonderful thing! Be proud, not embarrassed!

  24. rather you believe it or not everyone in the store doesnt pay attention to weather you buy pads or not. its a body function so it really doesnt matter. its not that you're gross. you're gross if you dont buy pads and just bleed all over yourself. you should just go in and grab a basket and put the pads in and go to a female clerk but if you're still that freaked, then bring your jacket or somthing and when you get the pad but the jacket over them and go to go and check out. remember its natural to have a period.
