  1. you need a caliper piston wind back tool ( i take it ,it has ABS)

beacause the piston is threaded pushing it in with a C clamp will do no good Go to your local car parts dept and ask them for a caliper piston wind back tool its easier and safer      mechanic 20+ years

  2.   This is probably the type that requires the piston to be rotated in with a specail tool. Any parts store and farm and fleet has them. It looks like a cube and has bumps that fit notches in the caliper. A ratchet turns it.

  3. you mean the piston on the caliper needs to be pushed in to install new break pads correct?

this can be done with a small C clamp and a block of wood.

put the block of wood over the piston clamp the C clamp over it and crank it. be warned. doing this might push break fluid back out the master cylinder this is normal just check level of fluid when done

  4. As dougy said ..... you can tell most likely if your rotor has drum brakes on the inside of the rotor the piston should just push in (with a c clamp) if not dougy is the man

  5. It is for sure the type you need to s***w in any other method will damage the caliper go and get the tool, and never use c clamps and wood

  6. Either of the above people could be right...I'm not sure what kind of system this car uses, but Fords do often use the s***w in method.  Look at the caliper and see if it has the little holes where the cube tool will fit.  It you don't think it does then try to compress it back in with the C clamp.  It may be hard to push back in, but don't go crazy.  Just remember that might not be the right way to do it so dont push too hard.  I would call a Ford dealership or mechanic and see if they will tell you over the phone if it needs the special tool to s***w it back in.
