How do i get the gas gauge on my boat to work?

i bought a cobia sportster 1986 runs great and all the gauges work except the fuel gauge. with a 90 hp evinrude i really need to k now how much is in there.

There are two things that you need to check. The sending unit that is usually located on the top of the tank, and the guage usually in the dash. Don't forget to check the wiring between them.
