Turn on Mario Kart Wii, on the main menu select the Mario Kart Channel, then choose download.  It will put it as a channel on your Wii's main menu.

You have to own Mario Kart Wii.

Go to the main menu of that game and click Mario Kart Channel on the bottom right. There will be an option that says "Get Mario Kart Channel" or "Download Mario Kart Channel."

Click that and then you will get it on your wii menu.

This channel is nice because nintendo can send you messages on when tournaments are and when they end.

However, you can not participate in these tournaments without the game disc in the wii.
