  1. I don't really believe that cats "turn wild".  They are born feral or they can be undersocialized, but "wild" is really a different thing.

I would not do anything to upset mom, or she may stop caring for them and leave you in charge!

Personally, I think that truly feral kittens never socialize, they may adjust to being handled a bit when young or attach to one person, but many seem to revert back to what nature has intended them to be.  If you are at risk of having feral kittens, get in touch with a good feral rehabber in the area that can give you tips.  I know the one here does not place them until 4-6 months so that they can really tell if they are pets or need to be released into colonies.

  2. yes, u can get her nice big box with blanket, move her into your house, with food.  she may take the bait, and soon she will let you hold them longer

  3. kittys :D

  4. Just give her some time.  Those kittens are very fragile right now anyway and they won't be very interested in you until they get a bit older anyway.

We found a pregnant girl and she was insanely sweet and was willing to let us touch them immediately as long as the kittens didn't get upset.  Once they were about 4 weeks old and pretty mobile she relaxed a lot and the kittens decided that they liked us a lot.  Sometimes the whole group of 4 would climb into my lap.  But when they were tiny they didn't want to be handled. As they get older they will learn by watching how much mom likes you.

If you can bring them all inside it will probably help and it will keep the kittens from wandering off somewhere dangerous.  Plus mom can get pregnant again while she's nursing, so that's a concern too.

Just being around them will probably keep them from being wild.  I don't think what you do or don't do in the first couple weeks of their lives will turn them feral.

    good luck!

  5. ok, first off the mother cat has to trust you. I grew up with cats and we had several cats have litters of kittens they always seemed to let me move them around and pretty much do whatever I wanted but wouldn't let anyone else in the house even touch them.

if you want to move them from your car port into your house prepare a spot for them a safe place like a box with something like a clean towel. put food and water close by. now go to the mother cat and while petting the mother pick up one of the kittens showing her that you are not hurting it switch between petting her and the kitten. then slowly walk to the box keeping the kitten in full sight of the mother, she will probably fallow you and this kitten. put the kitten into the box and the mother should fallow go back to petting the mother and attempt to get her to lay down and feed the kitten, as soon as she seems comfortable there with that kitten go back for the rest.  keys I used when I was a kid was low quiet tones while talking to the mother cat continuous petting and talking to sooth her, slow Smooth movements nothing loud or surprising.

  6. How old are the kittens? If they are 4 weeks old then take them immediatley so they have a chance. You can feed them formula and kitten food. The latest you can go before grabbing them to give these kittens a chance is 6 weeks. But they will be hard to catch.Or get the momma in the house and do it that way so the kittens wont be scared of you.

I have 3 feral female cats that live around my house and they keep getting pregnant, but unlike you I can not even get near these mommas, but they do let me close enough to get their babies.I make sure the kittens are with the mammo for no longer then 4 weeks, then I take over.Over the past 3 months I have saved 17 kittens.A litter of 4 a litter of 1 a litter of 8 a litter of 3 and one I found under a dumpster at my hubbys job.Every single litter I had ended up being the most lovable kittens I had ever had. They had all found great homes. With the exception of 2 that I still have. The last one I caught was a few days ago and she is 6 weeks old and was hard to catch, but is slowly coming around
