  1. alt+f4

  2. this doesn't sound like a pop up but rather a viral tool bar that has installed itself onto your explorer. you will have to run scanning software like "Lavasoft Ad-Aware",and or Spybot. if these programs can't get it off you will have to identify it the search out a removal tool specifically for that.

  3. Hold alt and press tab until you have the popup selected, then hold alt, and press F4 to close the window.

If you use Firefox, almost all popups should be blocked.

  4. google some better pop up blockers

  5. you have adware.  Something you downloaded or a site that you visited had something you clicked on that allowed the adware to get into your system.  It works by attatching itself to one of your applications.  The only way you can get it out is to search it out through add and remove programs.  Short term you can get rid of the pop up momentaraly by pressing alt control delete and then you can see the name of the adware.  Knowing the name will also better help you in finding it and eliminating it.  If worse comes to worse.  save all your important files on cd or media drive and do a system restore.
