  1. when you sneeze your eyes ALWAYS close think of that.

  2. Thats definitely not true hunny : ) Don't worry about it.

  3. Closing your eyes when you sneeze has to do with the muscle groups in your face and have nothing to do with whether you force your eyes to stay open when you sneeze. It is an involuntary reflex action of the muscles in your face, which you CAN override momentarily if you concentrate, just as you can intentionally hold your breath for a time, but not so long that you die as a result. NO, your eyes will NOT "pop out" as you say because there is simply too much connective tissue and muscle holding your eyes in place to allow this to happen. Your eyelids do NOT hold your eyes in your head, but just cover your eyes to spread out the tears which lubricate and moisten the surface of your eyeballs. What you might notice, is that your eyes "tear", sort of like crying, and you might have tears come out of your tearducts as a result of pressure from the reflex closing your eyes tightly while sneezing. Where DID you get this idea? It sounds like an urban legend to me...

  4. "Selective Memory Loss" is something I have yearned for my whole life...

And you have no idea how cute this question sounds...

(You little cutie...now go to your room, and don't worry...your eyeballs won't pop out of your head ever from sneezing, and by the way, you're grounded for life for being up so late on the computer...Bad girl!  Shame Shame...)

  5. Thats not true; & besided I dont think anybody can keep their eyes open while sneezing

  6. Your body won't allow your eyes to stay open.  So, don't worry about it.  Your eyes always close, so you'll be safe.

  7. You could hold your hand over your eyes instead of your nose and mouth when you sneeze so they don't pop out.  Really though, your eyes will stay in your head.  If what you were saying were true, and your eyes could stay open when you sneezed, there'd be a whole lot of eyeball-less people in the world.  Imagine that.

  8. It's a myth.  Your eyelids are paper thin, while the tendons, muscles, and nerves that allow you to move your eyes and connect your eyes to your brain are thick and strong.  They are responsible for keeping your eyes in your head, not your eyelids.  If one of your eyelids had to removed for some reason, your eye wouldn't fall out!  Of course, you'd probably lose your vision in that eye, since it would dry out... that's just a guess, though.
