  1. Warnemunde (Berlin), Germany

From Warnemunde, you can travel on the autobahn or railway to Berlin to view the Brandenburg Gate, Kaiser Wilhelm Church, Checkpoint Charlie Museum, the Reichstag and the collected wonders of the Pergamon Museum. Or stay down by the sea, and visit medieval Rostock and the spas of the Baltic shore.

(It does not say how far away it is from the port, but it must be accessible)

  2. Fly.  Berlin is about 100 miles from the coast, and that doesn't even get you to a major cruise port.

  3. It depends *which* cruise port, of course.

The Warnemünde cruise port is sometimes marketed as Berlin's port, God only knows why.

In order to get to Berlin from there, you can use the following:

    * Services usually provided by the cruise company

    * The German train company: http://www.bahn.de

    * Renting a car (there are all the usual rental companies in the port)

    * Hiring a driver to take you there.

However, if this is only for one day, reconsider: Berlin is about 2.5 - 3 hours away from Warnemünde, and you will not have time to see the city. It is an amazing city and you'll be missing a lot
