  1. Aldwych is in that strange zone for London where there are no tube stations within easy reach - following the closure some years ago of the Aldwych branch of the Piccadiily line. Your easiest route is to walk down on of the streets leading towards the Embankment and he river and find Temple tube station on the Circle/District lines. An esatbound train on either line will take you to Victoria - 4 stops. There are 4 trains an hour to Burgess Hill, the 17 minutes past the hour not requiring you to change, the 2 and 32 past the hour requiring a change at East Croydon from the Southern to a First Capital connect service, the 47 minutes past the hour a change at Gatwick Airport from one Southern service to another.
