i am 16 and so are my friends we want to have a full day at alton towers. but dont wish to spend anymore than 40 pounds each on travel. we need return travel. so far i have worked it out as 44 pounds gettin train from leicester to Uttoxeter and then minibus to alton towers.

is there any services that i can take advantage of where its a direct travel from leicester to alton towers cheaper and quick. and we also have park tickets included.

  1. I would get a coach,or i would get the cheapest train from leicester up to alton towers.I went to london for £10 on the rain once but that was 6 years ago

  2. Quite a few mini-bus/coach companies offer complete packages for days out to places like Alton Towers. Get in touch with some local companies and ask them. Try the Yellow Pages or other local directory for phone numbers, dial, and speak to someone.

  3. get a coach from st margrets bus station. i got one to drayton manor.

they do deals where you pay for the travel and the tickets for a reduced price.

  4. Hi, it'll be cheaper if you get a day trip which includes the ticket into the park and transport aswell. Have just checked and "Woods coaches" do a package which includes tickets into the park and transport there and back aswell for £36.95 in July/Aug. They pick you up from St Margarets bus station.

    Hope this helps!!

  5. coach is the cheapest form of travel, all big cities have coaches going to alton towers in summer
