  1. To get to Dublin you could take the train/ferry from London via Wales.  Some of those deposit you at Dun Laoighre Port which is in the south side of the city, same as Marlay Park.  This way, if you have a car, you could then drive to Marlay.

Otherwise you would have to fly to Dublin airport on the north side and take taxi or public transport Marlay Park.

Dublin bus route 16, which starts in Santry, near Dublin airport goes through the city centre to Ballinteer, which is near Marlay Park.

That would be the cheapest way to get there.

Marlay Park is in the Rathfarnham area of Dublin, so you could look for hotels there if you needed to stay nearby.  If you are determined to stay with as short as possible a taxi trip to that area, you could also consider hotels in Tallaght, Newlands, Leapordstown or Sandyford, which are within a short taxi drive along the M50 to Marlay.

However, without knowing the purpose of your trip, you should also consider hotels in Dublin city centre where you have lots of choice.  If you are returning to the airport, this would be more convenient than staying in South Dublin.

  2. Well first get to dublin. Marley park is on the south side of dublin close to dundrum. Unfortunately there's is no straight forward way of getting there, but you have a number of options to you.

    1) a taxi but i estimate it will cost about 40/50 Euro, you either have to go on the M50 ( not a motorway as most people think!! it's actually dublins largest carpark) and there's road works going on as well. Or you can go throught the city either way your still going to meet traffic.

    2) You can get a bus from the airport into the city center and then you would have to swap buses. ( sorry i cant give anymore info but i live on the northside and have never needed to know these timetables) But if you google "Dublin Bus" and find their website they should have all the timetables and bus numbers. remember there isn't really a bus station in the city all buses will pick up and drop off at different points around the city.

    3) again get a bus into the city center and then get on the luas.

But in saying all that if you are driving over then coming from dublin port you need to get on the M1 northbound then get onto the M50. Go through the toll bridge and keep on the motorway you need to exit at either junction 12 or 13. which ever one you take, it's takes about the same time to get to marley park.

  3. First thing you have to do is get a flight from London to Dublin..then from Dublin airport get a bus to city centre..then another bus or taxi out to Marley park..which should take about 20 minuets from city centre..Don't know about hotels in that area..
