Depends on what city you are in.  Not all cities have all these options.  Also depends on how SAFE your city is? How many miles from home to work? Weather in your city? . . . . Sorry, need much more info.  :)

If a train or bus is available and reasonably convenient, it's probably the best option financially as well as stress-wise.  

If not, then get a car.

it all depends on how far you live from your job, if you re close enough to walk then walking is probably the best. Plus! it makes it better for the our air and you get exercise. Oh man i ma nerd!

It all depends on the infrastructure layout of your village, town, city,  and the availability of the different modes of transportation.
