  1. you will have to go there and ask a local.. its secret info'

  2. saw your question! hehe...

this is what i had emailed you and oddly never reached:

first of all, its necessary to visit the area by car, because by foot, 1. you wont reach the beaches. 2. it would be a hassel to visit the amalfi coast, positano, naples, pompeii, ecc by foot (impossible)..

so by car: now by street names, i have no idea, but ill try to explain to you in the most easiest way. now, as you know, sorrento is located along the amalfi coast right? and to go from one little town to another in the amalfi coast you have to go AROUND the coast and there is only ONE route aroudn the coast. so, begin heading towards the NEXT town, as if you were heading  towards the direction of amalfi or positano. driving aroudn sorrento is kinda tangly, but just ask anyone how to get to towards that area in general. once your on the route, as you leave the center of sorrento, you will pass many campgrounds should be on your RIGHT side (just to let you know your going the right direction). after driving little distance, there will be a part on the route where the street makes a left curve, and youll notice there is a little off street on the right side. you take that little off street that i think might have a dead end, but anyways, head forward and to verify that you are on the correct street, there should be a CHURCH on your left side. its nothing big, but just a regualr church. you are on the spot! right beside the church there is a parking lot where you have to pay, its about 4 euros for the entire day.

park your car there, get the gear and you can even ask them how to get to theyou can even ask them how to get to the beach, and theyll know what your talking about. either way, you exit the parking lot, and go more down the street you got into, pass the church and as the street curves a little right youll notice a little passageway only for walking that might seem its closed (when i went there it was closed) but anyone could easily squeeze in on teh side (there ohter people already going in and i think it was closed not for people but for motorcycles). go in and the path should be made all made out of stones. its a LONG walk, but really cute. go all the way down, its all a closed in passage way meaning that its surrounded by walls all around, you cant tell whats ahead. when you reach finally the bottom of the long path youll see the ocean, but your still above sea level and the path will turn to dirt roads and youll get to choose whereever you want to go. there are people around, dont worry.

but there is only ONE spot i love! that i go every time. oh and also around you get to see these abandone roman ruins that were obviously thousands of years ago homes all aroudn the coast, but they havent been conserved, so you can walk around them.

my favorite spot is this little ....how do i explain???...um, just imagine walking down to sea level from this little passage way full of plants everywhere and when you reach teh bottom, you are surrounded in a circle by huge natual dirt walls all around you about 2 to 3 floors in height kinda like creating a little private hideout all closed in except by one small exit tunnel that leads you to the ocean. the water level is waist high and there arent any waves at all. there isn much space to lay your stuff at, you can leave them hanging by the hand rail of the passage that led you there, or you can reach another corner of the hideout where there isnt water, but you can only reach it by walking on water. its easy to get there, but i always freak out that i would slip and my backpack woudl fall in wiht my camera, cell phone, ecc...careful the rocks are slippery!

there are different spots you can go, meaning there are different dirt roads everywhere, you cant tell where they take you and the one im telling you, its too hard to explain which one of those dirt roads leads you to that one, but just try all of them, and youll eventually find the one im talkng about.

another one of those dirt roads leads you to ocean, but theres no sand at all,its all full of rocks, you just have to find your own way in getting comfortable, there are people there, but i notice its never packed, especially that hidden hideout, i love it because its never full of people, why?? because i figured no tourist knows about it as i noticed in my guide book it was never even mentioned.

oh! and i jsut call it the 'secret hidden' beach because for one, i have no idea if it even has a name and second, from a tourists' point of view, its REALLY hidden and not even mentioned in mags or books that ive read so far. so if your in sorrento and ask people, where can i find this hidden beach, theyl probably not even know what your talking about since to them it must not even be close to hidden, but it is!

in the foto on the 360's page of me and my bf at the hidden beach, its seperate from the first fotos, its in a different GROUP of fotos, in fact there are only two. its NOT under t he category of OLD OLD FOTOS, its on the following catagory, check again. the name of that category is SORRENTO
