  1. lifting is key.

    start lifting free weights 6 months before football season, and by the time the season starts you'll be plenty strong.

    there's nothing wrong with old-fashioned pushups.

    if they hurt your wrists, do them on a mat for cushioning.

    i've also seen these things on TV called the perfect pushup, when you do a push-up you put your hands on it and they rotate and really give your arms/shoulders a workout.

  2. Pull ups and pushups/me do it for me. Also get yourself a couple of freeweights and you've got biceps, triceps and deltoids covered.
