  1. ankle weights are good try a jump rope it builds the muscle nicely and helps to keep them wuick.  also doing squats with a weight in your ands in fron of you squat till the weight hits the ground then jump up.  you only need like 10 to 25 lbs maxx do a couple sets of like 10-15.  so them controlled squat low and slow then jump up not using your arms and hands
