  1. Practice makes perfect!  I didn't like the taste of beer when I first tried it but now I love the stuff!  You want to make sure it's ice cold too.   Also, try different brands, some are better than others. I'm not sure what you have down there in Kiwi Land but maybe start off with a weak American beer like Budweiser or Coors Light.  Those don't have much flavor so they should be easier to get used to.

  2. Beer is definitly an aquired taste. At first i couldnt stand it but now i really enjoy the taste. Try different ons until you find one you like and the colder the better

  3. drink it over and over again till you like it :^)

  4. Try different beers. They don't all taste the same so you may find one you like. But if all else fails, after the first 9 or 10, you won't notice the taste anyway. HA!

  5. If you don't like it , then don't drink it..It's as simple as that.

And ya, at parties, they look like they are having fun, but chances are, in the morning, they're hugging the toilet, or have one h**l of a headache.

  6. I tasted it once when i was about 3 years old and have NEVER drank a beer in my entire life! I'm 55 now. That c**p tastes nasty and smells worse.you will save a lot of money in your life if you don't take up the habit.

But like everyone says you just have to keep gagging it down 'till you get used to it.

  7. Beer is made in multiple styles. I'm not fond of the excessivly hoppy stuff myself, so I brew mostly bocks and wheat beers. You might try those. If you are in a hurry to get drunk, you could try a barleywine. While it is heavily hopped, the hops are counterbalanced by a lot of malt and it doesn't taste at all bitter.

  8. other way around get drunk enough to enjoy beer thats what people i know do

seriously if you dont like it dont try

find something you like mix(1/3 yagermaester 2/3 7up good sipping drink lats long tastes amazing) it  and enjoy it

you ll start going to places were the amount of beers to get drunk isnt any cheeper than a mickey/ twosix depending on how drunk

  9. u will start to like it after some time and drinking

  10. Make your own.

Use good Australian Hop's and use a Hydrogemeter. It's better than. And cheeper than store bought sh**t.

  11. maybe you just aren't a beer drinker..i don't think you can force yourself to drink it...i know that beer is extra good to me after i cut the grass in the middle of the summer...so uh maybe try that...i have liked beer since i was 2 so yea never had that problem

try whisky and coke?  that would be just as cheap as drinking beer

  12. if you keep drinking it your taste buds adapt to it and you'll like it.

  13. that is the weirdest question ever, its like, can you teach me how to become an alcoholic. haha!  Anyway, try all diff types of beers, there are sooo many choices, maybe a fruit based beer like a cider.  My personal fave is a black and tan (bass with guiness on top), it's strong and heavy, but Im very used to the taste of beer ; )  If you really want to become a heavy beer drinker, just keep drinking, you will get a taste for it.  Make sure its ice cold for the best results, good luck man, but Id really reconsider your goal to become a drunk : )

  14. Kia ora!!

I understand your pride involved with being a kiwi but most NZ and Aussie beers I have had didn't impress me much until I tried Cooper's Ale.

"Trouble is" that if you want to get drunk, you're better off with less expencive beers, and Cooper's is a bit more expencive but has a better taste.
