How do i get video off of a jvc compact VHS onto a computer(can i even?)

buy a dvd recorder and hook it to the av inputs and record on to a dvd and dowload dvd shrink it,s free

you can get a digital video camera that has both analog and digital inputs/outputs and connect that way from the rca plugs (the yellow red and white ones) and digitize it for importing to pc. be careful not to import long takes though cos the sound sync will get worse.
