  1. It depends what internet service you have.  For cable modem you would likely need a broadband wireless router, which can range from $10-15 at times for sale and/or rebates.  Some DSL providers either you can do the same thing if you have a regular DSL modem, but you may be able to get an alternate wireless/modem/router that includes everything in one box for extra cost.

    In the past there were some wireless routers with a serial port that could do dialup with an external modem, but not sure if any do now.

    If you really want wireless internet anywhere you can get a data plan from a mobile phone company, but that usually runs about $60/month, plus the device that plugs into laptop slot or USB.


  2. you apply for an internet, then you buy a router so that your internet could go around the house but remember to put a password in your internet so that other people outside will not be able to use it.  

  3. You will need an internet subscription, a wirelss capable router, and wireless card for your computer taht doesn't have built in wireless capability, check out best buy and see how much that cost any brand of wireless equipment will do
