How do i get work in the mines, i have no relevant experience, but am a strong, fit 23yr old male.?

I'm a hard worker but only have work experience in hospitality and sales.

Whats the best starting point for mine employment?

I know Elko Nevada is booming because of mining operations.  You can check their local paper and find out if the mining companies are hiring.  I'm sure there are other areas.  They may require heavy machine operation, but there are probably other jobs as well.
