  1. My daughter and I had a Greek tortoise years ago..you are so lucky!!  They do need to be soaked about once a week..they will soak in the water through their skin and keep from getting dehydrated.  We used a kitty litter pan with enough water to cover his shell about half way up.  Just let him wander around in there or just sit for about 20 minutes.  Then make sure you dry him well and put him right back in his enclosure under his heat lamps.  Good luck...I want another Greek.  They have awesome personalities!!!!

  2. to give a tortoise a bath, you get a dish or i use a washing up bowl and fill it with warm water, just enough so the tortoise can get its mouth and nose into the water, usually it is just above the bottom shell, then put your tortoise in, don't worry if the tortoise tries to get out they sometimes don't like it at first, once the tortoise is in the water gently pour water over the shell with your hand, if the tortoise poos or wees in the water don't worry they sometimes do as it relaxes them, clean the water if they do, your tortoise may put its whole head in the water but this is how they drink, leave your tortoise in there for about 20 Min's but no more than 30 Min's. if the water gets cold empty some out and fill it with warm water again, i usually use cooled boiled water  hope this helps best of luck

  3. ask the person that you got it from lol or just use water and hope it works

  4. a large saucer (like used for plants) filled with room temp water

    would work just fine

or you could just put it in the bathtub in very shallow water for

    a few minutes

  5. This is news to me. Too much humidity or bathing could cause an Upper Respiratory Diesase. Then you will have trouble getting your tortosie back. Trust me these guys are hearty when you get the husbandry dialed but will fail fast when you don't. You need to provide a water source

"The water dish in the habitat should be large enough to allow the tortoise to soak in it if it wishes - it must also be shallow enough to protect from drowning, small photographic developing trays work well for this purpose."

Plastic painters trays from home depot or lowes filled with water work well too.

Check that website out on care for your tortoise and don't give him a bath or keep him to wet an warm.
