How do i give my parents the slip?

me and my girlfriend are thinking about taking a road trip across the US. we are both 16. we have no plan at all and that is exactly how we want it. our parents will not let us do this by ourselves but we plan to anyway. what i need is a way to do this without my parents knowing. all your ideas are much appreciated!!
