How do i go about checking guarantors for my to be tenants?

Hi, i have had a lease e-mailed to me from a letting agency but on it is about guarantors, how to i go about checking up that what is put is true or do i just take word since it will be signed? also who can witness the signing? Ta.

If the lease is signed it's kind of too late to check references, credit, etc...

You would go about running checks on the guarantors the same way you would for tenants.

If you wanted to ensure that the guarantors actually signed the lease, you should have required their signatures to be notarized.
