  1. Most contests are part of, or held by an organization (NSSA, ESA, Surfing America ect...)  You either have to be a registered member, or pay a entry fee.  Local contests are good fun, cost less or are possibly free.

  2. Depending on the contest, for the smaller ones you can pretty much just sign up and show up. For small ones (since you're asking, I assume you're not going to be competing too seriously) there's usually just a form you fill out and an entry fee (can be anywhere from 10-100$) and either mail it in or drop it off, and just show up on the day of the contest. The local surf shops would have the forms, just ask them about any upcoming contests. Or, as a member of the ESA, I recieve newsletters and contest forms in the mail.

  3. do you man getting into a contest.

or your about to have a contest and you want tips

  4. mhmm try to find some local surf contests in ur area, if you fo to the beach there should be like flyer or things like that

    or just google it

and if ur a grom in like southern california or the east coast, or hawaii

    you can do nssa

there a lot of fun, I do it

    sooo good luck!

    have fun!

    :D

  5. Talk to your local surfshops and your local surfing associations they can tell you when where they are.   Also local surfing mags (better source than the international ones, plus they are FREE) frequently list regional results, upcoming dates and in many places the contests are annual.

  6. Here are some Surf and Skateboard competitions.
