  1. Go to any main rail station they should do it there, all the forms are usually there.

  2. The fare restrictions don't apply in July or August and on public holidays, the form has all the information on it.

  3. just go to a train station, he will have a form

or infact i think you can print a form off the webstie

    www.nationalrail.com

    its very useful

because im a student i get it free with my bank!

    worth it

every train ride after 10.00 to london and other places is amost half...

a retrun to london from zone 4 is £5.30 without the railcard

and with it goes down to £2.85

very worth it! imagine this daily the saving i will make

yeah go to your nearest station, they will give you the form

    you need a picture

    id, and the money!!

  4. Go to any mainline station take a passport size photo with you, and they will do it for you, it will cost £24 and lasts for a whole year and entitles you to 34% discount on all standard fare tickets, but unfortunately does not apply to first class travel.

Also just a little reminder to save you later hassle's, always carry your railcard with you when travelling because if you buy a discounted ticket and forget your ticket, most will charge you for the discount back but official ruling is to issue you a brand new ticket.

    And happy travelling

  5. If you are between 16-25 inclusive, you can purchase a YPRC.

On January 2nd this year, the price went up to £24.00.

The forms are available at railway stations, and, additionally you can download the form online.

You will need to produce proof of age and supply a passport-size photograph.

    The entitlements are:

34% off any rail fare on Saturdays and Sundays, Bank Holidays and anytime during July and August.  During Mondays to Fridays, between 5.00am and 9.30am there is a minimum fare of £8.00 for a single and £16.00 for a return.  Mondays to Fridays between 9.30am and 10.00am there is a minimum of £8.00 on any fare.

The card is a national card (compared with the Network Card, which is regional) and can is valid anywhere in the UK.  It can also be used for advance purchase fares.  You can also buy a saver return valid at any time from Euston station only.

  6. A Young Person (YP) card requires a number of things, firstly a passport size photo, ID and proof of age, or a signed form from your form Master / Teacher if in Full Time Education and £20.  It takes about 10 mins to finish a card maximum, you will need to go to a manned Ticket Office at any Railway Station.

Fare Restrictions.  If using during Peak Times, then a £16 minimum fare for a return, £8 singal up to 9am, then its a straight £8 minimum fare, after 10am no restriction. The discount is valid anywhere on the Rail Network, except for Heathrow Express and Eurostar, which is outside the ATOC agreements.  Normally the reduction in fare is 34%.

Well worth the card once you start using it.
