For my royal marine prc test i have to become a strong swimmer.I want to learn as many strokes as possible.I can swim but not very well.In fact i haven't been in donkey's years.

How does it work if you're an adult?....do you have to book by the hour....do you get taught one on one...or in a group....how much does it cost ( estimate will do )...shall i just go down to my leisure centre and ask for a chat?...i haven't been since school.

any help from swimming coaches, life guards or leisure assistants much appreciated......i live in the west midlands, u.k

  1. local fitness clubs perhaps.   you might try a local university.  sometimes swimming faculty/ga's will give you one on on e lessons

  2. This question showed up the the U.S. section.  I assume that you have similar facilities in the UK.  Your local park and recreation district may have a pool with lesson available.

You can do a search for "swimming lessons in west midlands" also.  See below.
